Notice is hereby given that a General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. All precincts will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm. on Election Day at the following locations:

To the qualified electors of THE CITIES of Hillsdale, Jonesville, Litchfield and Reading and, THE TOWNSHIPS of Adams, Allen, Amboy, Cambria, Camden, Fayette, Hillsdale, Jefferson, Litchfield, Moscow, Pittsford, Ransom, Reading, Scipio, Somerset, Wheatland, Woodbridge and Wright
in THE COUNTY OF HILLSDALE, STATE OF MICHIGAN
Notice is hereby given according to the Agreement for Election Services between the County of Hillsdale and the aforementioned municipalities and under authority granted in Public Act 81 of 2023, that the location of the early voting site for the November 3, 2026 General Election will be the following:

All qualified electors in the aforementioned municipalities have the right to mark a ballot and deposit the ballot in a tabulator beginning the second Saturday before an election and ending the Sunday before the election. Early voting will be available at the early voting site for the following hours:
Day 1, Saturday, October 24, 2026: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Day 2, Sunday, October 25, 2026: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Day 3, Monday, October 26, 2026: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Day 4, Tuesday, October 27, 2026: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Day 5, Wednesday, October 28, 2026: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Day 6, Thursday, October 29, 2026: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Day 7, Friday, October 30, 2026: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Day 8, Saturday, October 31, 2026: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Day 9, Sunday, November 1, 2026: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This Notice is given on behalf of the City and Township Clerks of Hillsdale County, in accordance with Section 9.1 of the Agreement for Election Services between the County of Hillsdale and the aforementioned municipalities, which can be viewed on the County Clerk’s webpage at hillsdalecounty.gov. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Accuracy Test shall be conducted for the electronic equipment that will be used to tabulate the votes in each of the aforementioned precincts for the November 3, 2026 General Election. Election law requires that Public Accuracy Tests be conducted to demonstrate the computer programming used to tabulate the votes cast. Public Accuracy Tests shall be conducted in each precinct as follows:

MCL 211.7u provides for a property tax exemption, in whole or part, for the principal residence of persons who, by reason of poverty, are unable to contribute to the public charges. For purposes of the poverty exemption, the term “principal residence” means how principal residence exemption and qualified agricultural property are defined in MCL 211.7dd. The exemption does not apply to property of a corporation.

Camden Township is an un-zoned township. Building permits and regulations are available at the Hillsdale County Building Inspector's office. Well and Septic permits are available at the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency office in Hillsdale.

The Camden Township Board of Trustees meet the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.. Meetings are held at the Camden United Methodist Church, 205 S. Main Street, Camden, MI.
Office hours are by appointment, except for tax payment or election required days. Contact the Board Member who you wish to see.

The maintains two cemeteries, Berg Cemetery on Long Lake Road, north of W. Montgomery Road and Palmer Cemetery on Territorial Road east of M-49. Cemeteries are open from dawn to dusk.
